POST-REHABILITATION: facilitates recovery from injury, enhances activities of daily living, and bridges the gap between a medical environment and fitness environment. Post-rehab occurs during, or after, seeing a medical/allied health professional (i.e., family physician, physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, massage therapist). Post-rehab involves mobilizing, stabilizing, and strengthening an injured/dysfunctional region, and integrating it back with the entire body and human movement system.

NUTRITIONAL COACHING: supports health and improves body composition. Topics covered will include: principles of good nutrition and preparation, food to be included in a normal daily diet, essential nutrients needed by the body and recommended amounts, the actions of nutrients in the body, the effects of deficiencies or excesses of nutrients, and food supplements that are good sources of essential nutrients.

PERSONAL TRAINING: is frequently used as a means to support the general health and fitness of a population with no existing medical issues. Personal training may be used to improve: body composition, general strength, power, bone density, cardiovascular endurance, mobility, and stability.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: MHS provides continuing education for organizations and medical/allied health professionals (i.e., Human Kinetics and Recreation Department at MUN, Registered Massage Therapists, other Kinesiologists/Exercise Professionals) who wish to learn, utilize, and incorporate elements from Kinesiology into their own practices. Such elements would include: movement assessments, self-massage, exercise selection/progressions, strength training, program design, and coaching techniques.

REPORT WRITING: MHS accepts client referrals from Section B; a component of auto insurance, which pays for services related to the recovery of individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents. Section B adjusters generally request detailed initial, progress, and discharge reports from MHS upon accepting, and working with, their referrals.
